Neutral Fall Decor & MY FIRST SALE!

Quick question. Where did the summer go?? I mean really, how is it September already!! Does anyone else feel like their life is just flying by?!? Okay, maybe that was more than one quick question, but it is true the older ya get the faster time goes. Now I feel really old. WAHH!

Let's not ponder all that today. I just want to share some of the decor items I have been working on! My very best friend (since 2nd grade), "Nafola" (we made this nickname up in elementary school. I am Aleefa. She was Nafola and we were like princesses or something. Can I even have this many sentences in parenthesis)?

Let me start again. Nafola suggested I make decorations for each holiday for my Etsy shop. Good idea! I didn't really want to do it. HA! I mean, there are a bazillion pumpkin and fall garlands out there, but then I went to the crafts store and was inspired with these pretty neutral patterns. They felt like me and something I wanted to create. It all came together in my head and away I went. I came up with two different sets and I really love them both!

Doesn't Fanny look fancy all dolled up! You can read her story here. I think this pink and neutral set would make the cutest fall baby shower or birth announcement. I bet I could find a blueish pattern for a boy. I actually used this saying when I announced we were expecting Monkey.

Either of these sets would look fabulous across the mantel or strung along a mirror. I could see it in the dining room or entry way. They are pretty versatile!

Can you tell I had fun staging this set. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays! The boys were having so much fun with the decorations. There was a ton of "No, don't touch yet, just one more picture." Can you believe NoFace let me use his guitar! Thanks Babe!

What do you think of this neutral seasonal decor theme? Do we have to use traditional colors? Can we mix it up? I would never have considered myself a "Neutral" person. I LOVE color and patterns and all that jazz. However, I am really starting to appreciate neutral colors and how they help other colors shine. I actually saw an instagram post the other day about "neutral fall." I guess I'm on trend! The most exciting bit is that I GOT MY FIRST SALE and it was the pumpkin garland/banner!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOOO! Thanks for the idea Nafola!!

Of course, you can snag one at my etsy shop =)
