Baby Bear Party Decor!

Monkey turned one back in April. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN????? I am actually really struggling with all of his milestones. I keep thinking this is my last baby, last first birthday, last first step, BOOHOOHOO. I have to stop and try to celebrate all these things but I am so emotional lately. Thankfully this post is not about my emotions!

Anyway, Monkey's middle name is actually Bear and we often call him Baby Bear or Little Bear. Naturally a bear themed birthday seemed appropriate. However, I didn't want a traditional teddy bear theme. I wanted something a little chic and modern but with a touch of whimsy. I think that might be my life's motto. Although I'm a little heavier on the whimsy than the chic. =)

I began perusing pinterest and came across this site. I really loved the simplicity and modern feel of this birthday party, but I needed a little color. Green, black, white are the colors I would use in Monkey's room if he had one. We share a room. Actually, Noface and I sleep in the living room on a futon while Monkey has our room all to himself. The things we do for our children.

I decided black, white, and green would be the party scheme and the designs just flowed. Monkey loved his party and I fell in love with decor making. This party was actually what pushed me into opening my Etsy Shop. I found I really love coming up with a party plan and creating all the details.
